BACK TO, BACK TO REALITY: SO SAID COTTON FEST
Looks like school is back in session, at least for everyone
who has been patiently awaiting the return of COTTON FEST. Having taking a
sabbatical last year because of the on-going pandemic, it is safe to say; the
streets are calling and COTTON FEST 2022 is where the cool kids will be this
coming March.
The 3rd annual Cotton Fest is set to take place
in March 2022 in Newtown, Johannesburg. The theme for 2022 is "university
and campus" and we have created our very own university of COTTON FEST
campus, through which the festival will offer a multi-layered university campus
experience including a concert, merchandise, cafeteria, sports area and even
lockers for you to store, that that you find to heavy to carry around.
Known for merging both established and aspiring South African artists and creators, COTTON FEST not only showcases the diversities in music but it is also a bridge that closes a gap within the entertainment and local current movements.

In the sport area there will be half a basketball court for
all the basketball fans who want to show off their Kobe skills, along with a
skating ramp for skating enthusiasts. There will also be a fashion area where various
merchandise hubs will stock up on unique pieces, limited branded fashion items
and other sought of accessories. Food always brings life to the party, so a
food court will be available, bringing huge variety of delectable options and
several fully stocked bars positioned around the venue; with photo booths for
all the content creators.
Although the world is slowly going back to normal, the
pandemic is still in the midst of our lives and certain regulations need to be
put in place in order to ensure the safety of the students of COTTON FEST. In
line with current government regulations, tickets will be limited to 2000 per
day.
To ensure the safety of everyone attending the festival, ALL
festival attendees – including all staff, partners and performing artists –
will need one of the following to gain access into the venue:

a personal fully vaccinated certificate (either printed or online)

a negative PCR test, if only vaccinated with one dose, done within 48
